ST. LOUIS – The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis continues to help families in need in the St. Louis region.
The organization hosted an MLK drive-thru giveaway Saturday—in partnership with the St. Louis Area Food Bank, Schnucks, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Martin Luther King Celebration Commission—at their headquarters on Kingshighway Boulevard in north city.
Crews passed out over 1,800 boxes filled with food, toiletries, and personal protective equipment.
They say events like this one help bridge the gap for families in need as the price of some food items increases amid inflation.
