ST. LOUIS — The Urban League braves the rainy weather for their grill-to-glory kick-off rally. Grill to Glory is a movement that gives young people and the community a place to come together and share a meal. It’s a faith-based initiative to bring more resources into communities and deter crime.

More than 250 churches in the St. Louis metropolitan area host the event on Saturdays throughout the summer. Today’s kickoff was at the Urban League regional headquarters on North Kings Highway. This Saturday, it will be at all participating churches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
