ST. LOUIS – Shortly before dawn on Friday, Venus, Saturn and the Moon will align to form a smiley face in the sky.

This rare triple conjunction will be visible for about an hour near the eastern horizon before sunrise.

The alignment will feature Venus as the higher eye, Saturn as the lower eye and the thin crescent Moon appearing slightly lower, completing the smiley face.

This celestial event is noteworthy due to its rarity, offering a unique spectacle for early risers and astronomy enthusiasts.

Observers will need to look toward the eastern horizon to catch the alignment before the sun begins to rise and obscures the view.
