ST. LOUIS – We hit 76 F for a high on Monday and we’ll be right back there again Tuesday afternoon.
A weak cold front is dropping in from the north and may cool things back a touch for northern MO and western IL, but it never clears the St. Louis area. Sunny Tuesday with highs well into the 70s, with some areas south of metro St. Louis flirting with 80 F. That front bounces back north overnight. We’ll wake up Wednesday in the mid to upper 40s.
A few more clouds and warm on Wednesday. Later in the day, a storm will pass to the south of the St. Louis region. There is a slight chance of some rain showers south of I-70 Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning.
After a sunny and warm day Thursday, the main weather watcher of the week moves our way. This is a much stronger storm system for Friday. Gusty winds during the day on Friday, highs again in the 70s. Thunderstorms, possibly severe, will be possible starting in the afternoon and continuing into the night.
Still quite windy and a touch cooler Saturday, with highs in the 60s. Winds may impact some of the balloons in the Downtown STL St. Patrick’s Day parade. Cooler still on Sunday with highs in the 50s. Back to the 60s for St. Patrick’s Day Monday.
Reminder: A Total Lunar Eclipse will take place Thursday night into Friday morning. Maximum eclipse is at 1:58am Friday.
