ST. LOUIS – Washington University said that it’s pausing projects on its Danforth Campus, citing anticipated federal funding cuts.

University officials announced its projects for a new Arts and Sciences building have been cancelled. This project was initially announced last fall.

Similarly, improvements to Mudd Field will be postponed.

Washington University’s medical school ranks second nationally in the amount of funding it receives from the National Institutes of Health.

The campus may face a significant loss of federal research funding as the Trump administration is limiting federal spending.
