ST. LOUIS – Cara Spencer will soon take the oath of office at St. Louis City Hall, becoming the 48th person to serve as the city’s mayor. Donna Baringer will be sworn in as St. Louis Comptroller, along with several new members of the Board of Aldermen.
Spencer’s inauguration comes just one week after defeating incumbent Tishaura Jones in a run-off election.
After being sworn in, Spencer will lay out her vision for St. Louis, focusing on accountability, cleaner neighborhoods, and safer streets. She has introduced several new hires who will play major roles in her administration, including Major Shawn Dace as the Public Safety Director, former Alderman Dan Guenther as her liaison to the Board of Aldermen, and Robert Herleth as Interim Chief Operating Officer.
