ST. LOUIS – Authorities are renewing calls for help in the search for Daja Lucas, a woman who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Family members also continue to plead for help.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that Lucas has been missing since Dec. 17.

On Friday, SLMPD told FOX 2 that it followed up on several tips and reported sightings shortly after her disappearance, though such tips have slowed in recent days.

St. Louis police hope to deploy canines to assist in tracking Lucas but are looking for information on her last known sightings to do so. As a result, police are renewing calls for help in finding her.

SLMPD’s Missing Persons Unit says Lucas left her home in the 3700 block of Texas Avenue around 11 a.m. on Dec. 17. Police say she was last seen wearing a nightgown and blue-and-green socks.

Officials say she has a tattoo on her right bicep with the name “Timothy” and a tattoo on her chest with the name “Mike.”

FOX 2 previously spoke to Lucas’s Aunt, Anetra Thornton, who expressed the family’s deep concern for her safety.

“She was talking to her father on the phone, and the conversation started to change. And her father noticed she was in distress,” said Thornton. “She is missed. We are looking for her. We want her to come home. Her daughters want her to come home. They are missing their mommy.”

Police have disclosed that Daja suffers from mental health conditions. They warn that if you find her, she might not provide her real name.

Family members have previously noted that Lucas is known to go near bodies of water and urge the public to keep an eye on such locations.

SLMPD urges anyone with information to contact their department at 314-444-2500 or their nearest law enforcement agency.
