Welfare check leads to homicide investigation in Ballwin

BALLWIN, Mo. – The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating after finding a man deceased inside a home Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of Cedar Bluff Dr. just before 1:15 p.m. to conduct a welfare check.

Upon arrival, police found a man with injuries to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to county police, a person of interest has been taken into custody. An investigation is ongoing.
