WENTZVILLE, Mo. – Wentzville car haulers cut loose over a contracting issue with General Motors and are now picketing, saying they’re being betrayed all over again.

Dozens protested Wednesday on what they say amounts to losing their jobs twice in just the past few weeks. This goes back to GM and long-time hauling company Jack Cooper failing to reach a new contract earlier this month.

Nearly 240 Jack Cooper workers in Wentzville lost their jobs.

GM released a statement saying they were working to transfer a significant number of those workers to other transport companies, while a union official says that did happen for about 75 workers–until it was reduced to 11.
