LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. – As voters in Lincoln County prepare to go to the polls for the November general election, here’s a guide for voters in the area.
No-excuse absentee voting began Oct. 22, and voters may be unfamiliar with ballot items specific to Lincoln County. You can see Lincoln County’s sample ballots here. Some of the items on your ballot will depend on the district you reside in.
Many election officials recommend voters vote absentee as it may take extra time to fill out the ballot, leading to longer waiting lines on Nov. 5.
Missouri U.S. Representative
Every voter in Lincoln County will vote for a candidate for a Missouri United States Representative seat for District 6.
The candidates include Sam Graves (Republican), Pam May (Democrat), Andy Maidment (Libertarian), and Mike Diel (Green.)
Missouri State Reps.
Two district seats that represent parts of Lincoln County within the Missouri House of Representatives have candidates up for election. A voter could be making a selection based on their jurisdiction.
The candidates for the State Rep. District Seat 40 include Chad Perkins (Republican) and Sheri Jay (Libertarian.)
The candidates for the State Rep. District Seat 41 include Doyle Justus (Republican,) Hans H Stock (Democrat) and Dalton P. Johnson (Libertarian.)
Judges
The Lincoln County ballot holds 7 judges up for re-election, including circuit courts, the Eastern District Court of Appeals, and the Missouri Supreme Court.
