ST. LOUIS – Another pulse of energy from a storm system to our north is rolling through the St. Louis area Thursday morning. Clouds will move in before sunrise for all but our southwestern most communities.
Pockets of snow flurries will be possible east of metro St. Louis, from Carlinville, Ill. south to Mount Vernon. Skies will clear for a bit Thursday afternoon. Windy through the day, with gusts of 30-35 mph. Highs will only be in the 40s and wind chills in the 30s throughout Thursday.
Another spoke of this storm system will bring clouds back to the area Thursday evening. Again, some light rain and snow flurries will be possible towards the Interstate 57 corridor in Illinois Thursday evening.
Wake up temperatures Friday will be in the mid-30s with wind chills in the 20s. Winds will start to ease Friday, but clouds will linger. It will still be quite chilly, with highs in the 40s.
The forecast stays dry through the weekend with a gradual warm-up, 50s Saturday and around 60 F Sunday. Watching for a chance of some rain Sunday night into Monday.
