ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A woman has been charged with assault after driving a Jeep into another woman following a fight outside a St. Louis County nightclub.
According to the Normandy Police Department, Tashala Brown, 28, was involved in a fight on April 10 with others in the parking lot of the Eclipse Kitchen and Cocktails, located at 8909 Natural Bridge Road.
Allegedly the fight was between multiple people when security broke up the fight with mace.
Another woman involved in the fight began to walk away when Brown got into the driver’s side of a white 2021 Jeep Compass.
Police said the Jeep was seen accelerating at a high speed and swerving directly into the woman, who was still walking away. The woman was struck and flung up on the hood of the Jeep, according to police.
Brown continued driving at a high speed and exited the parking lot. The woman was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital and suffered from a broken rib and a collapsed lung.
Police said Brown later admitted to driving the Jeep that night but denied knowledge of striking anyone.
Brown has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Her bond amount was set at $200,000, and she is awaiting a bond reduction hearing on April 21.
