ST. LOUIS – A woman is facing charges after setting the front door of a north St. Louis church on fire two times earlier this week.
According to a probable cause statement, Lashonda Granberry went to a north St. Louis church along Natural Bridge Road on Sunday and Monday, sparking a fire at the front door both days.
One church member was inside the building at the time of the incident Monday.
Both fires were able to be extinguished.
Surveillance footage shows Granberry in the area at the time of both fires. Court records state she gave her phone to police, where they discovered Granberry was searching on where to purchase bombs.
She admitted to setting the doors on fire twice.
Granberry is charged with one count of second-degree arson and one count of first-degree arson. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
