KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Fair is returning to Sedalia this August, and on Wednesday morning, it was announced that a new, colossal attraction will be waddling its way into town.

This year, the “World’s Largest Rubber Duck” is making a stop in the Heartland while on its national tour.

“Mama Duck,” as she is often referred to, stands at more than six stories tall — approximately 61 feet high, 64 feet wide and 74 feet long — and is frequently accompanied by her 10-foot baby duck, Timmy.

She will be on the fairgrounds from Thursday, Aug. 7, to Sunday, Aug. 17, to continue her mission to “spread happiness and love wherever she goes.”

Since making her debut at the Port of Los Angeles in August 2014, Mama Duck has greeted more than 250,0000 fans in major cities like New York, Long Island, Chicago, Toronto and Austin.

Back in June 2023, the famous attraction was supposed to make an appearance at the Overland Park Convention Center. However, just days before Mama Duck arrived, a spokesperson said she had been damaged while on display at a festival in Chicago.

Although she is still not planning to stop in the Kansas City metro, the fair says everyone is invited to meet Mama Duck and snap a photo with her this summer.

So, make sure to grab your flock and head down to the Missouri State Fair for a “quack-tastic” end to your 2025 summer.
