JENNINGS, Mo. – Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly shooting that possibly stemmed from a road rage encounter Saturday afternoon in Jennings.

The St. Louis County Police Department has identified Caleb Matlock, 21, of St. Louis County, as the victim.

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 8700 block of Jennings Station Road.

The St. Louis County Police Department reports that Matlock was found suffering from life-threatening gunshot injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from his condition.

Investigators have not yet disclosed any information on potential suspects. However, preliminary findings suggest the shooting may have been the result of a road rage incident.
