ST. LOUIS – Waves of rain and thunderstorms remain in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday. The threat of severe storms is low, but not zero. The best chance for an isolated severe storm will be Wednesday evening.

The first wave of wet weather arrives Wednesday morning courtesy of a weakening thunderstorm complex moving out of the Plains. This will make for a wet morning commute. Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop late in the afternoon and continue into the evening. A few storms may become strong to severe, with wind gusts up to 60mph being the main concern.

Ahead of a cold front, we’ll see scattered showers and storms throughout the day on Thursday. Once that front clears us Thursday evening, rain should shut down.

After a sunny start on Friday, a secondary cold front will slide through the area Friday afternoon, bringing clouds and some scattered light rain showers. This will cool us down for the day on Saturday.
