MISSOURI – Late Tuesday night, voters in Missouri passed Amendment 3, overturning the state’s abortion ban. Missouri became one of seven states to legalize abortion during Tuesday’s general election.

After every vote had been counted, 51.6% of Missouri voters approved the amendment, while 48.4% had rejected it, according to Missouri’s Secretary of State website.

Across Missouri, while there were more counties that voted “no” on the amendment, larger metropolitan areas with greater populations pushed the amendment into being passed with more “yes” votes.
